INGREDIENTS:

1/2 tbsp + 1 tsp ghee/clarified butter
2 cups phool makhana/fox nuts (50g approx)
1/8 tsp salt or to taste
1/8 tsp turmeric powder/haldi
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp chaat masala

SERVES: Makes about 50g Masala Makhana
COOKING TIME: 6 Min
TOTAL TIME: 6 Min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML

METHOD:

1. Heat 1/2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter in a pan.
2. Add phool makhana/fox nuts & roast on low flame for 4-5 mins.
3. Break 1 piece between fingers. If it is crunchy & breaks easily it is done.
4. Move Makhana to one side in pan.
5. Add 1 tsp ghee / clarified butter, salt, turmeric powder/haldi, red chilli powder, chaat masala on other side of pan & mix well.
6. Mix Makhana in masala well. 
7. Switch off flame.
8. Allow to cool down & then store in air tight container for 7-10 days. Enjoy roasted masala makhana anytime for quick snack.
