Eggless Chocolate Cake Premix is an instant cake premix which is available in the market. In this recipe you learn how to make this at home with regular ingredients! It is a very easy recipe and you can make this premix to bake a cake anytime you want and in a jiffy. This cake premix can be stored in fridge for 10-15 days or you can store in freezer for 1 month. Making cake from this premix is really simple and you just need regular ingredients. You can then use this cake to make your favourite icing cake or relish it as it is!

INGREDIENTS:

For making Chocolate Cake Premix:

1 Cup All Purpose Flour (Maida) (about 125g)
3/4 Cup Powdered Sugar (about 100 gm)
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1/4 Tsp Salt

For Making Chocolate Cake:

2 Tbsp Oil
2 Tbsp Curd (Dahi)
122 gm (1 Cup minus 1 Tsp) of Chocolate Cake premix
1/3 Cup Milk at room temperature
Oil for greasing
1 Tbsp Chopped Walnuts (optional)

SERVES: Makes 244 gm of Chocolate Cake Premix (Makes 2 6" Square Cake)
PREPARATION TIME: 8 Min
COOKING TIME: 20 Min (for 1 Cake)
TOTAL TIME: 28 Min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML

METHOD:

Making Chocolate Cake Premix:

1. Sieve All Purpose Flour (Maida), Powdered Sugar, Cocoa Powder, Baking Powder, Baking Soda and Salt 2-3 times. Break any lumps using a spoon.
2. Fill the prepared cake mix in an air tight container and close the lid. 
3. Store the chocolate cake premix in fridge for 10-15 days or in freezer for 1 month

Making Chocolate Cake:

1. In a big bowl beat Oil and Curd (Dahi) for 1 min.
2. Add Chocolate Cake premix and mix.
3. Now Milk at room temperature little by little and prepare lump free batter.
4. Take 6" square mould and grease it with oil and line with parchment paper on bottom.
5. Pour the prepared batter in the mould.
6. Tap the mould on kitchen counter to remove any air bubbles and evenly spread the batter.
7. Garnish the cake with Chopped Walnuts (optional).
8. Bake the cake in a pre-heated oven at 180C/350F for 20-25 min.
9. Insert a toothpick in the centre and if no crumbs stick it is done or else bake for 5 min more.
10. Let cake be in mould for 10 min and then unmould and allow it to cool down completely for 1 hour.
11. Cut in to desired shape and enjoy.

TIPS:

1. You can take any shape mould or can also use cup shapes.
2. For garnish you can also use cashew nuts or use chocolate chips.
3. You can use this cake for icing.
