Nimbu Adrak Sharbat Recipe is refreshing ginger lemonade which can be had all through the year. This easy to make recipe is quick and fast and you can store the syrup in refrigerator for using it whenever you need to quench your thirst or when you have guests at home. You can make this in large quantities to store it for 1 year in refrigerator by using potassium metabisulfite preservative. Usually people do not find it easy to make such syrup at home but with this very easy recipe you do not need to worry. It can be made by anyone at home!

Ingredients:

1 Cup Sugar
1/2 cup water
1/8 cup ginger juice
1/4 + 1/8 cup lemon juice (about 8-10 lemons)

Serving: 200-250 ml syrup
Preparation Time: 5-10 mins
Cooking Time: 5 mins
*1 Cup = 200 ml

Method:

1. In a pan add 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Switch on flame and cook till sugar melts completely and water starts to boil. Stir constantly. There is no tar required in chasni and cook only till water boils and sugar melts.
2. Once water boils and sugar melts switch off the flame and let the syrup cool down completely.
3. Once syrup cools down add 1/8 cup ginger juice and 1/4 + 1/8 cup lemon juice. To make ginger juice take peeled ginger pieces and grind it in mixer and then strain with muslin cloth or strainer. Ensure to take fresh lemons and also do not squeeze very hard to avoid bitter taste of lemon skin. Also take out juice only once syrup cools down and not use kept juice.
4. If you prefer not to use ginger juice you can skip the same and add 1/2 cup lemon juice
5. Strain the syrup in a clean container or bottle. You can store the syrup in refrigerator for 1 month.
6. If you make larger quantities you can store the syrup in refrigerator for 1 year. For doing that you will need Potassium Metabisulfite preservative. Use 1/8 tsp of Potassium Metabisulfite for 1 kg of Sugar used. Store the syrup in refrigerator.
7. Easy to make Nimbu Adrak ka Sharbat is ready to drink. To make ginger lemonade mix 1/4 part syrup with 3/4 part chilled water or soda. Enjoy!
